Enjoy Breakfast with Santa at the Winsted YMCA on Saturday, Dec 13 from 9-11am.  There will be a pancake breakfast, a cookie decorating table and crafts.

Family event (Please do not drop off your child(ren). Parents must stay with the child(ren) in the pool area. They do not have to go in the pool but they are responsible for the behavior of their child(ren).  All family members must register for this event.

Standard pool rules still apply.

No food or drink except water allowed in the pool area – no glass containers.

Join community leaders and caring citizens as we gather together for the 13th Annual Freezin’ for a Reason Sleep Out and Fundraiser on Friday, Dec 12 at 6pm!

Spend a night on the Winsted Green, bringing awareness to the persistent issue of homelessness in our community and supporting the work of the Winsted Y Homeless Shelter.  Pitch a tent, a cardboard box or sleep under the stars as you experience what it’s like to be homeless for a winter’s night. There is no registration fee, however participants/teams are asked to raise funds for the cause and get sponsorships for their night in the cold. Our goal is to raise $20,000 to support the work of Winchester Emergency Shelter.

This event will take runners through the Y’s Tall Timbers property located on the Torrington-Goshen border at 1145 Brandy Hill Road, Torrington). The 5k course will feature a mix of quiet country roads and private dirt roads that wind through the camp’s wooded property. A hill climb stands between runners and the finish, making sure all will earn their Thanksgiving feast. This run can also be completed as a 2 mile walk.
