Freezin' for a Reason

Friday, December 12 at 6 PM | in Winsted, CT
Spend a night on the Winsted Green, bringing awareness to the persistent issue of homelessness in our community and supporting the work of the Winsted Y Homeless Shelter. Pitch a tent, a cardboard box or sleep under the stars as you experience what it’s like to be homeless for a winter’s night.

Harwinton Hills Run

Sunday, April 27 | in Harwinton, CT
Kick off the spring season with YMCA’s third annual Harwinton Hills Run! Run or walk the scenic 3.5 mile course beginning at the Harwinton Library Sports Complex (Bentley Road, Harwinton CT). A 2 mile walk is also available so that all fitness levels can enjoy the fun.

Run with the Animals

Sunday, May 18 | at Action WIldlife, Goshen
Come join us in this 5K run through the beautiful Action Wildlife Zoo in Goshen, Connecticut. The run will take you through a unique collection of animals spanning 6 of the 7 continents!

KrazY Kids Run

Sunday, June 22 | at YMCA Camp M.O.E., Torrington
This one mile Obstacle run will offer fun challenges for kids ages 6 -12. Run, jump, climb, and crawl through a series of obstacles across YMCA Camp M.O.E. T-shirts available for thise registered by June 13

Railroad Days Run

Saturday, August 9 at 10 AM| in Canaan, CT
This event is a competitive 5 mile road race, with the option to take part in a 2 mile walk as well. Set in the heart of beautiful Canaan, the Railroad Days Run takes place on the saturday of the town’s annual Railroad Days, which provides fun for the whole family.

Highland Lake Run

Sunday, September 14 at 10 AM | in Winsted, CT
Enjoy a scenic 5K trek around beautiful Highland Lake in Winsted! This course presents a challenge as it is mostly flat course but does consist of a few gradual climbs. The 2-Mile walk option means that this event is fun for all!

OctoberFAST Trail Run

Sunday, October 19 at 10 AM | at Norbrook Farm Brewery, Colebrook, CT
Enjoy a wonderful 5K run through the beautiful property that is also home to one of the best brewery’s around – Norbrook Farm! The run has a little of everything, taking runners along the pristine trails of the property, into the fields, and, yes, you guessed it, finishing at the brewery itself. It’s a beautiful way to spend a fall morning.

Wild Turkey Chase

Sunday, November 16 at 11 AM | in Torrington/Goshen, CT
This event will take runners through the Y’s Tall Timbers property located on the Torrington-Goshen border. The 5k course will feature a mix of quiet country roads and private dirt roads. A hill climb stands between runners and the finish, making sure all will earn their Thanksgiving feast. This run can also be completed as a 2 mile walk.
